Why don’t we use copper in transmission lines?

Answer:

Copper is a good conductor of electricity, but we use aluminum as a conductor in transmission lines.

The main reason for not using copper is the cost.

The conductivity of copper is higher than that of aluminum, but the cost of copper is much more than that of aluminum.

Another reason for not using copper is that it easily gets oxidized.
