What actually kills, AC or DC?
Answer
Both AC and DC currents are hazardous, but AC is considered more dangerous than DC.
This is because the human body has a higher impedance to DC currents than AC, so humans are able to withstand the effects
of an electric shock arising from DC exposure much better than when exposed to AC
. If the current takes the path from hand to hand thus passing through the heart, it can result in fibrillation of the heart.
